Hobie Fleet 418 has been reinstated in Division 3. It had a very brief history in the early 1980’s consisting of a SX 18, an 18, and a 16. A resurgence of catamaran sailing in the extreme northwest corner of California over the last several years inspired the creation of the Face Book page “North Coast Catamarans” in the late 2000’s. Hobie Fleet 418 is the latest partnership of Catamaran sailors in the region.
Headquartered in Humboldt County we enjoy strong Northwesterlies much of the year. Humboldt Bay, Crescent City Harbor and Trinidad Harbor offer excellent opportunities to sail in the Pacific Ocean with magnificent Redwoods as the backdrop. We are an open group, accepting of all sailors of all skill levels.
